A Mother's Covering

The Bible explains to us that women are the greatest gift to their husbands.

That a man finds favor when he finds a wife. That good pleasure and advice is found within a wife. That a good woman is the crown to her husband.

Men are reminded within the Bible that a woman is their portion, their reward.

Sweet woman, maybe you need to be reminded of these things. 

Maybe you are raising children. Maybe you are trying to conceive. Maybe you stay home. Maybe you work outside the home. Maybe you've experienced the loss of your child. Maybe your husband isn't the man of God you desire him to be.

Wherever you are in life, whatever circumstances you are in right now, be reminded that you are of worth.

What you do, how you serve and the heart behind your actions is noticed by your Father. 

He hears your cries. He hears your prayers. He sees you trying.

Maybe you can't keep the house clean. Maybe running errands with all the kids is overwhelming. Maybe you're at your end.

But you are needed.

Sure your family needs you for the day to day things. How else will your husband find his wallet or children stop arguing?

Even more than that they need your spiritual insight.

They need a mom who floods Heaven with her prayers for them. They need a wife that speaks down to the attacks against her husband. They need a woman who is sensitive to the spirit and willing to be their spiritual shield. They need a woman who knows who she is in her God.

Even when they don't understand that they need it. Even when they don't see you crying out in the middle of the night for them. Even when your prayers go unnoticed to their eyes.

It's your covering that keeps them.

Be encouraged that you are who God gave them.

Not by chance.

Not by accident.
